February 19, 2025 (Brooklyn, NY) – 10XBeta, a leading innovator in connected MedTech and advanced manufacturing, has been selected as a performer team for the Platform Accelerating Rural Access to Distributed and Integrated Medical Care (PARADIGM) program. This groundbreaking initiative, spearheaded by the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), aims to address critical challenges in rural healthcare by delivering advanced hospital-level care directly to underserved communities across America.Americans living in rural areas face significant healthcare challenges compared to their urban counterparts due in part to disparities in provider availability and healthcare access. Rural areas, home to about 20% of the U.S. population, face a shortage of healthcare professionals, with 68 physicians per 100,000 people compared to 80 in urban areas. Since 2010, nearly 170 rural hospitals have closed or discontinued inpatient services across the country, significantly reducing access for rural residents seeking care and contributing to declining health outcomes for rural Americans.PARADIGM aims to address rural healthcare challenges by creating a scalable mobile platform that integrates the latest medical device miniaturization, satellite communications, and artificial intelligence advancements. By enabling healthcare providers to deliver cutting-edge service—from multi-cancer screenings to perinatal care and more—directly to patients' homes, the program aims to overcome the geographic and financial barriers that currently prevent many rural residents from receiving timely, high-quality care.
